A face cord of wood is 4' x 8'. The length is what ever it is cut at. Remember , you are looking at the face of a full cord of wood , which is 4' x 4' x 8'. People assume they are getting 16"-18" lengths of wood when they by a face cord. And I think they should. But never leave your guard down when buying a face cord. Some one might try dropping you off 12" lengths. As far as a rick of wood goes , I have no idea what a rick of wood is.
