Friend of mine met a fella in England, he came over and they got married. He visited here a time or two.
When he was coming over for good she was over in England, they packed and ended up getting bumped and on different flights coming to the USA. Oh yea, there was a friend snow storm in England that day, he got messed up at the airport on flights and delayed.
He had a visa to be in the USA but much of his stuff was in her bags. I’m short on the details, but customs did not think his luggage fit his visa, he didn’t have the right amount of money, clothing, whatever to fit staying here for many months.
And so he was flown back to England. Deported.
He has a typical English temper, nice guy but swears like a sailor and feisty when provoked.
The ‘welcome home’ party we had, delayed by 2 days, for him was kinda humorous! Maybe not for him.....
I’m all for immigration but we need it to be proper, accounted for, not create the slave labor force we get with the southern border situation. That is bad for them and us. Congress needs to get off its rear and create a better and bigger and legal program. President Bush had something I thought was workable and a vast improvement years ago, Congress buried their heads in the sand.
