Kermit, go for the Dodge. But I would step up to the 2500 with a Cummins Turbo diesel. You can then expect 400,000 miles of power. The Cummins is rated at 400,000 miles average before overhaul. It is a proven, basic design, an inline 6 cylinder. Less complicated that a V formation engine. Ford's diesel is a good International and GM's Duramax diesel is an aluminum time bomb. If you can't Dodge it, Ram it. -BTD
