Can you use ATF in a hydraulic system with out undue harm to the components? I just bought an Allis 160 tractor and loader . It has three separate hydraulic systems. Loader, power steering and three-point. Looks like the previous owner used ATF in the loader and the P/S. The mauual calls for the same type fluid in the trans/3pt as in the P/S. I am concerned as to whether or not I should leave the fluids in or dump them all and start over. I know that is the safest approach but have you ever tried to get ALL the fluid out of a system!?! Thank for any input!
