I went to the show in Lawrenceburg. Didn't get to stay as long as I would have liked, had something else I had to do. It was a good show with lots of tractors, but I don't really know how many were there. I would have guessed maybe 500, didn't really try to get a count. It is an annual event, I think this was the 5th. The Threet Farms, who I was told was responsible for starting this event must have had at least 30 or 40 tractors there, mostly JD's. Had some really nice late 50's and early 60's models, along with others. The show was quite heavy with JD's and Farmall's, not many Ford's. Didn't see any steam power, we seem to not have much of that here in the south, at least not at the shows I've been to. Saw a really beautiful Ferguson, I think it was 1956 year, can't remember right now the model. It was dark green and gray, really looked fine.
Lots of stationary engines too.
I believe this was a 2-day event, and I would say worth a pretty good drive. The people who put the show on seemed to be enthusiastic and helpful. But us rednecks are just that way now ain't we?
