Perhaps my story will help you decide what to do. While towing our 30ft. fifth wheel RV, the LR truck tire came apart. The rubber tread caused $2,000 damage to the left bedside. The insurance adjuster requested the 5er GVW,pin weight, truck GVW, GCWVR, actual loaded truck weight, tire operating pressure for truck, and receipt for tire purchase. The decision was that I was well within all load and towing limits, if I had been over I was not covered and if another vehicle had been involved they would have recovered their payout from me. With lawyers advertising on TV for someone to sue, you can bet to farm I will always stay within legal limits. There's too much chance of having only a grocery cart to haul with.
