Pairing tractors was more common than one would realize. In the 70's Steiger had a paired Steiger setup at the big shows and the next year they had a triple. One in the lead with a side by side pair hooked to its drawbar and a common drawbar between the back of them. Out landish thing but was an interesting concept. Around here the story is always told about the farmer who put 2 M's in tandem. Worked great till he was going through town and one of the throttles broke causing the whole works to turnover in the middle of main street. George still gets a little red faced about that.
