It may be true that it wasn't the officers full fault, but they are not exempt from it. It is obvious to me that no one was watching the tractor while the police were giving them a lecture for causeing the yuppies to be home from work late. While this was happening, the tractor ran low on water and when they tried to inject water back into it, it exploted.

You talk about how it was damageing the road, but there is no way that a tractor going around 7 mph (at the most)is going to do anything more than put a small mark on the road that will eventually dissapere (unlike a track type tractor). I see people do this stuff all the time in Pennsylvania Dutch country since they still use steel wheels on their tractors. They don't have a problem down there so WHY IS IT A PROBLEM IN OHIO???!!!

It upsets me to know what is going to become of antique farm events because of people like you. Since your "honerable" police officers were injured in action, people will go whine to your poloticians and have them make laws so that we will be unable see a first hand account of what life was like in the early part of the 20th century.

We should feel sorry for the people who died instead of prosecuting them for something that wasn't their falt as you made it out to be.
