: : : : havent seen cad plans, was assuming you were talking about the portable tow around ones.....
: : : : perhaps a tractor mounted one would be ok-

: : : : whichever, the smaller the bucket the better the downforce.......

: : : : if you do get one let us know what you think!

: : : Go to http://www.terramite.com These are a small compact American built tractor, not sure of the price. A local rental outfit here has one that they rent out. Nifty little machine

: : : :I just took devlivery of a woods model 9000 that I had attached to my ford model 1920 which is a 32hp tractor this is the smallest size tractor the dealer said this would fit. 9ft reach really nice piece of equipment a lot more to it than you would think the tractor could handle. price $7200.00 including backhoe mounting frame and complete mounting setup in cluding hydrolics. worth checking into..

: Second that. I've got a Woods 650 (6-1/2 foot reach) on a John Deere 750 (20 hp) that is a working fool.
:::::::On theese little hoe's, I have installed Woods, Kubotas, Kellys, and woods-du-alls. If you have a Kubota, I would suggest a Kubota. Kubota makes their BH's for their shorter 3-point arms so you don't get a headache on your rollbar. Other than that I would suggest a woods. Especially a 9000.
