: I have a Farmall 140 we use for light field work and snow : removal. I recently installed a temperature gauge and : found the engine is only warming to 140'at most.the thermostat : is OK and the gauge has been calibrated. I have put a : sheet of cardboard in front of the radiator when it : gets real cold but we would like to fix whatever is wrong. If you are sure the thermostat is opening properly, the only two things you can do are replace it with the hottest 'stat you can buy or partially block the radiator, as you are doing. Light work & snow removal don't generate as much heat as heavy tillage in 100 deg heat, which the cooling system must handle. Yours is not a serious concern, it could be overheating all the time.
