: : : : : I'm trying to get the rear tyre off the rim on my Ferguson TEF 20. Any sensible tips on how to break the bead or seal? Thanks : : I use a splitting wedge : If you have one a tire maul is the way to go. Poor gasoline around the bead and it will break right down. The driving over with a truck is a goodway if the tire in not to old and stuck, old Agri tread can split out in a heart beat. Have done that method with car tires but like I said you can split a tractor tire, unless it is new. : Tire maul will run you about $30.00 but is a very good investment. pour coke around the bead and let set overnite, but agree with letting a tire shop handle it, tires can dangerous.
