Well after selling the 706 and doing adjustments on the O.C.46,where by installing our fork lift brackets we made,along with a skid to stand on,apple picking time.We have 2 fruit bearing trees that are loaded to the breaking point,so I made applesauce but so many apples that the idea to make apple jack for the family came about.Bought 2 large drinking water jugs aprx 4 1/2 gal. Peeled,pressed,strained apples and so far got 4 1/2 gal cooking.The problem is making a working press so that chore can be solved.I understand that apple jack was used in place of money during the early years,but I am making apple jack for the family so the apples won't go to waste. Diabetes prohibits me from drinking much booze but like it's said,to"drink a little wine for thy stomach sake" so that's what I intend to do besides helping with the winters supply of wood.Turned 83 years old in July and trying not to be idle.Need to do something besides complaining about all the aches and pains that goes on in life.I"m looking forward to at least a couple more years to help out. Now that the tractor shed is empty, going to place non critical items inside so there will be more room in the garage. Never enough room for acquired items that keep sneaking up on us.The dozer and Bobcat takes up a lot of space,but they are garage items that need to be kept at a suitable temperature.Thought you folks would like to know what goes on in an 83 year old mind.lol.Garden is about done except for potatoes next project on the agenda.
