: : : : I own a 52 case sc (approx 30+horse power) and just bought : : a 96" blade to scrape my 350' dirt drive way. It is : : reversable and can angle. My question is how much angle : : and should I use it to push or pull the snow? I live in : : Maine, we get lots of the white stuff often wet. : : Also any hints on teknique will be helpful : You should definately push the snow. As far as what angle to use , it will depend on how heavy the front end of your tractor is and the kind of snow you get that is , wet and heavy or dry and fluffy. Say, there aren't very many Mainers on these boards, where are you from? John Healey, Litchfield ,Maine :::If you have a Case Sc you must have 3 5/8 pistons to have 30 + horse. I have an Sc Case with 3 5/8 bore that has 33 horse on 92 oct. fuel and 28 horse on 87 oct fuel. As far as using a 96 in. blade, I would pull it if it is a 3-point model. The Sc will not have enough power to push wet heavy snow even in first gear. : Lee Forbush, Case collector and puller
