Myself i buy quality parts only . Usually i sort Build the kits myself , since Case I H does not make the engine parts themselfs any more they farm out to the low bidder . Now what you have are people that are putting the kits together from where ever they can buy them the cheapest . So Clevite , Perfect Circle, Seal Power and so on . On a D361 there is a lot more to doing a rebuild then just stuffen new sleeves and piston in it . To do the jo right a lot of checking needs done . Then finding a machine shop that can do the machine work correctly . That engine can have core shift so it is wise to line bore ( NOT LINE HONE ) and then once crank center line is good then it is wiise to go off crank center line and do a .10 over bore of the block and use the .010 oversized sleeves and get the proper PRESS in fit plus proper stand out of sleeves then you have to check the bore fore sleeve wrinkling and each piston must be fit to each hole as if you thing all parts are the same size your in for a rude awaking . Then doing the head here again valves MUST be set to proper hight. Connecting rods need rebuilt . Then after ya spent all that money ya have the injection pump to go thru and the injectors. SOOOOOooo if this engine is still running fine and does not use three qt. of oil in a full day of hard work and it starts fine and runs well stay out of it as this engine is not a plug and play engine and not for the NOVICE as on same slip up in you engine build can send all that money you dumped into it into pieces and parts for a new Toyota.
