: : I let my husband's diesel tractor run out of diesel fuel. I filled tank but it still will NOT start. What do I need to do to it to get it started again?? : The general drill goes like so. Follow the fuel line from the tank. Bleed air starting at the sediment bowl(normal procedure is loosen clamp holding bowl for this one). There should be one or more vents on top of each filter. Bleed them until there are no bubbles. At pump, use vent fitting(or loosen line connection if no vent fitting). If there is no mechanical fuel pump upstream of the injection pump, all of this should be done prior to cranking the engine. Thanks, Len. That sounds pretty generic and straight forward which is what I need - will try today. We are trying to clean off some land on top of hill that was "Mad Anthony Wayne's" encampment years ago - hoping to find some arrowheads. Thanks again.
