I bought a 9MM PT111 a while back. It was faulty right out of the box. The trigger safety would hang up and it was almost impossible to eject the magazine. Spent 3/4 of an hour on hold before someone answered at Taurus. When I told her what the problem was, she said it just had to be broken in. I told her that was not the problem and that it was unsafe to shoot. She sent me a call tag from FedEx. A few days later I received a letter from them saying they received the gun and that it would take ABOUT 3 months to fix and return. I waited. In their letter, it showed how you could check on the status of your gun. It kept showing that it was received but nothing else. I looked up complaints on Taurus handguns on Google. There are thousands of complaints for any reason you can think of but, many of them were for the waiting period. Some had been waiting for 6 months. Some that they had been lied to and the list just kept going on. I found the sight for the better business bereau in the city Taurus is in and filed a complaint. Taurus answered the complaint and said that they do repairs in the order that they are received. I answered the complaint saying that this is a brand new gun and because it was screwed up at the factory, it should be repaired ASAP. The next day I received the complaint back again and Taurus said that they would put it on their priority list. Three days later, FedEx delivered it. This is my third Taurus but, after reading all the complaints about poor workmanship, waiting time for repairs and that fact that this gun was supposedly tested and was released for sale, I think my next gun will probably be a different brand.
