Take off cap, dry well (hairdryer works great). Then spray liberally with silicon inside and out. Also do the same with wires. You might also put an open to the bottom plastic bag or large "Baggie" over the distributor if you don'e store the tractor inside. This should help. Also, be sure to check for carbon tracks inside the distributor. If you see them, it's time for a new cap! Good luck.: my 9n ford with front mount distributor is bad to condense moisture, especially if it is left outside. right when i need it the most i have to remove the distributor and dry it out before i can get it to start. what can i do to eliminate this problem?
