Like tjv said, next model older than your 1450 was the first model Cub Cadet with electric lift. They
were VERY troublesome when new.

Sounds like you just have the single valve hydraulics, no remote outlets on the front like for angling a
snow blade, just the middle rockshaft raise/lower. Things are REALLY cramped under the dash of your
1450, make sure the hyd lever is in alighnment with the piston in your hyd valve. Being even a fraction
of an inch off center drastically increases the force needed to operate the valve. Make sure your hoses
are not kinked, a sharp bend can really reduce oil flow slowing raising/lowering.

I've had a 982 Cub Cadet, next model newer than your 1450, for 18 years now, never has a second's problem
with the hydraulics, either raising/lowering the 50 inch mower or raising/lowering the cat. O 3-point
hitch, or the 3000# capacity Pronovost P503 tandem axle dump cart I bought to use behind the 982 about 15
years ago. I can raise a full load of rock, right around 3000# net at idle with my remote frt outlets. My
cart has 6 inch sideboards on top of the 12 inch factory sides.

If you could find a manual lever lift rockshaft I would replace your hyd. rockshaft with that, but using
the electric actuator is a step in the WRONG direction. Your hyd lift has problems, something is not
right with it. Fixing it would be the easiest and least costly repair.
