I don't blame you one bit. I've caught flak from some on here when I've complained about people when I tried to sell a tractor a few years ago. You and I both have experience buying and selling and you know as well as I do that since all these picker and pawn shows have come out,people's attitudes have changed. Everybody either acts like they're running a pawn shop and you brought it to them to make a quick buck,or try to be Frank Fritz and start in with the "I can't make any money if I give you that for it." garbage.
I've been dickering since I was 5,but asking somebody to take a third of what they're asking and acting all crappy when you turn them down? Come on. If you can't be respectful and courteous when you're in somebody else's yard looking at their stuff,stay home.
The only thing you did different than I would have,was that you involved a middle man. I understand why you did,but the scrap yard is two miles from me and I would have taken it there myself. If anybody wants to get all bent out of shape about things going to the crusher,they'd better learn to be more respectful human beings,that's all I can say.
