Hi I spent more hours than I'd care to think about running/fixing a machine similar to that up here in Canada. About the only thing I got to say thats good is it's some mighty fine wood/craftsman ship it's made from L.O.L. The one Here is in the seed plant I used to work at. it's still there and was worn out 8 years ago when I left and was half way there when the guy that used to own the farm put it in like all the 245 cleaners the indent rolls and all the legs I think the gravity table was new!. I'd bet it's cleaned millions of bushels, and still got a fair few left if the plant don't burn down first, some days that was tempting with break downs L.O.L.
The screen brush mechanism had been rebuilt a few times, some of the big variable speed pulley shafts had the bearings cut into them, I pulled them and welded them and ground hand filed them so the bearings fitted again. Ours was a dry weather machine, if it got damp the screens would stick in and they were a pig to get out. It was mounted 3 ft off the ground on a stand so that didn't help much.
I remember some days in the winter, it was so cold running it the first start in the morning you had to re set the breaker 5 times as it was so stiff to get it turning and up to speed.
