So this is another one of my not yet fully thought out ideas. I've been looking for a 3-point hitch to go on a Farmall. Looking on Craigs list and a few other places. It occurred to me that they have 3point kits around for every tractor EXCEPT the tractor I have. At least it seems that way. So heres my half thought out idea. I've seen 3-point caddys for cat3 equipment. Mostly for rippers and big stuff like that for use behind bare back articuled tractors. What would stop me from building something like that for cat1 or cat2 equipment? My thought is to take a three point assembly and bolt it to the back half of a wagon running gear. I could just run long hyd hoses up to the hitch. Also a setup like this could be used behind any tractor. Those 3 points can be had cheap if your not needing it to fit any specific brand or model of tractor. Also the old 5-6 ton wagon running gears can be found cheap. I realize I'd loose the tight quarters maneuverability but for what I'd be using it for ( cultivater, back blade, etc.) it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Only problem I could see is balance. If I had heavy equipment on it and picked it up the hitch would come up. I would have to either make hitch longer or add weight or both. I 'm not worried about a Pto. Mainly would use it for a back blade, box blade or a row crop cultivater. Or maybe a bale stabber
