: : A husband and wife team are moving from San Francisco to farm country in Maine and are now responsible for mowing 6 acres and plowing over 150 feet of drive. : : Looking for a tractor, mower, plow, and wagon. Do I need anything else. Any quality used equipment I should consider/avoid? HELP! : : To Harry, : Welcome to our "Yesterdays Tractors" tractor page. As you can see some of us guys are really into our tractors. When we go to bed at night, we kiss our wives good night, roll over and dream about what tractor we can put next to our other five that we already have. Personaly I do have five tractors and they all do there own thing. I don't cut much grass but I till up about two acres in my family garden. I have a Ford 8N that I use for general purpose including plowing snow, but yes when it really does snow alot here in Connecticut, I switch batteries from my old Ford tractor and put it my John Deere 420c on tracks and my snow problems are over. Of corse if you have a paved driveway then that might be a problem comes spring when bulldozer tracks are more visable.Whatever your choice is make sure that you can still get parts for your tractor or you might really wind up with five tractors because four of them will be for parts! Any advice that you get from these fine gents on this page is worth listening to. Good luck and happy hunting. Chris
