Been cold and took some time to look thru some old pic albums. I scanned these pics taken about 1989. The splitter you see is the same one as in one of my posts last week. It is still going strong. When that pic was taken, I had just built legs for the wheels and caster, welded a 3pt hitch onto it, and welded catch trays to it. First modification of the "American" wood splitter made in Black River NY. Second modification was bigger catch pans and the jib pole. Third modification was to add a battery tray, so I wasn't dependent on the tractor battery, a tool box and enclose the entire engine compartment. Forth modification was to add hyd. remotes to power the accompanying elevator that I built for it. Fifth modification or lets just say a modular attachment was the Limb dog that I pictured last week. The splitter has warn out 3 B&S engines. I have had a HF Predator on it now for 3 years. I still have that 440 tractor and the 310 dozer. I overhauled the engine in the dozer 2 winters ago. Loren
