I know that many here serve their towns and other local governments. I got an email from my local fire department yesterday indicating that I am a member, again. I was a member for 35 years and then discharged for insubordination by the new chief eight years ago. A number of others left in the following months. Well, that chief got fired by the town select board a year ago. I was asked to come back, and since then a number of those who left are back on. I finally applied a few weeks ago, now I am back and at 68 years old I am by far the oldest member. I don't think that I will be putting the air pack on any more though. Maybe I will train with it though just to stir the pot a little, LOL. I served on the town select board for nine years, and budget committee for fifteen. I have been a member of the trustees of the trust funds for sixteen years. What is your current and past local service?
