: : : while troubleshooting a fuel delivery i foolishly : : disassembled my injector pump, i found the problem : : (dirt) but how do i put it back together. : There is a plastic disk in the roosa master that crumbles over a period of time the use of alcahol deicers speeds this process. Are you sure it wasnt the remains of this part you found. This happened to my combine last week and had to have the pump rebuilt. Injection pumps are a very precise machine and need to be serviced by QUALIFIED PEOPLE. :Had to replace the RM pump on our 84 chevy?6.2 diesel, went to an injector & pump shop in Merriam,Ks, they had one on the shelf about $400 exchange, but was rebuilt with steel rings instead of plastic, they said the Power Service additive I'd been using would eat up the plastic. Haven't had any trouble with the new one, & lt's several years old now.
