Depends a lot on where you are. A Kansas farmer with thousands of acres is certainly going to laugh at an itty bitty 8N. It's a toy to that person. By the same token, a person with 20 acres is going to laugh at the idea of buying a Kansas sized tractor. They wouldn't be able to turn it around on their property. When used right, the 8N was, and still is, a fine fit. Yes live hydraulics and pto are nice. They are not a necessity. Same ground clearance. If you're need a high cropper, buy one. Don't buy an 8N, it's the wrong tractor for you. Remember, they were popular for a reason. And the many that still exist do so for a reason as well. After all, see many Yugo's these days?
