I just dropped off a tractor alternator today for bearing, regulator, and complete check up. It was a 10 SI. I didn't ask for a quote but I know it won't even be as high as a reman (and those are only $45ish).
When I took the generator off my 35 Chevy in he went through it and put in new bearings and checked it all out. It needed wires from the guts soldered on to replace the cloth covered ones that exit for the cutout. It wasn't $35. I have no problem supporting them. They are a mom and pop who knows their stuff. They only deal in checks. When was the last time a business had the guts to turn away anyone with plastic? That's trust and integrity.
