Use a volt meter or test light. Ground the black lead or ground alligator clip. turn the key to on. Test the voltage at the coil terminal connected to the ignition switch. If no voltage, test the connection at the key switch. If voltage, the wire or connection is bad. if no voltage the key switch is bad. If it does have volts in the off position. the switch may be internally slipping. If you spin the starter, then switch to off while it is still spinning will it run? My suggestion if no volts after step 2 above is to replace the key switch. Auto motive universal switches are possibly more robust. Jim
