: You should have a bearing spitter to get around the pully as much as possible. Don't try to pull it without an even pull all the way around the pulley or it will break. There is nothing holding it on, it is a tight press fit. Be careful putting it back on also. Hammering it back on is hard on the thrust bearing.

George is right I have pulled some with a 3 jaw puller but a bearing spliter would be better Use a good block of wood and a 3 pound hammer doing back on if it doesnt go on hard its not tight use a center punch to peen the crank so its tight going back on
