Don't try to pull it without an even pull all the way around the pulley or it will break. There is nothing holding it on, it is a tight press fit. Be careful putting it back on also. Hammering it back on is hard on the thrust bearing. George is right I have pulled some with a 3 jaw puller but a bearing spliter would be better Use a good block of wood and a 3 pound hammer doing back on if it doesnt go on hard its not tight use a center punch to peen the crank so its tight going back on good luck Monte
