: Can have a Farmall B for the trouble of hauling 250 miles. Only the block and a few parts left of engine. Sheet metal is good, some implements are also with it. Can anyone advise me how difficult engine parts are to find for this model. Bottom line - is it worth dragging home. I have limited time for restoration. Appreciate any input. Gene, I just hauled a complete '44 B from Sunbury, NC to Courtland, Va. for the sole purchase of a perfect grill assembly (paid $225 for the whole thing including implements!). Since getting it home I've made the decision to restore this one right alongside my '44 A. If I had to buy a replacement grill it would set me back $485! If nothing else you've got a nice parts donor if you're willing to spend the time parting it out. I've been able to readily procure any parts that I've needed from our host, Central Tractor, Tractor Supply, Case IH and local salvage yards and parts stores(NAPA's the most consistent!). One word of advise, you can't have limited time for a restoration....done right it takes TIME more than money, expertise or anything else.....been there, done that. Best of luck whatever our decision, keep us posted, we can always use parts! Eddie Petty, Courtland,Virginia.
