: : Any idea as to why there are so few posting for the Farmall 140? Even when I visit others sites that advertise manuals, decals, .... it is rare that the Farmall 140 is mentioned. Is the 140 of lesser caliber? Is it a less desireable tractor or simply less popular? : : I'm anxious to hear your responses.... : : Thanks, : Don't feel alone. Of all the Farmalls out there, there seem to be some that are more popular than others. I think it is only because they are more available.I have a 450 and seem to be in the same boat. These models were only made a few years compared to the "letter" models. I don't think quality is a problem, its just that the models were updated so quickly at that time. : : Bob Where I live they don't talk much about collecting them because they are used almost every day. I live 'in town' and have at least half a dozen in shooting range and easily a few hundred in the county. Everyone who did or does grow tobacco has at least one. My best friend is busy painting one with the disc, two sets of cultivators, two one bottom plows and a tobacco setter (all quick hitch). So alot of what you don't hear is just that they are kind of taken for granted in some places. Keep your chin up, and I could proably find a few for resoration projects if you don't what yours to get lonely. Dennis H.
