Wide singles did work better than the duals...duals had to be only a few inches apart to fit behind the head, and they filled with mud easily. No recourse at the time, had the duals, only expense was some time and a bit of steel to adapt them. Combine tires were 26 inch, so I used 3/4 solid square rod as a spacer between the 28 and the band I installed. Had larger spacer bands available, so cut them down to 26 inch.
On the 28L, a shop near Belgrade welded in a 10 inch band to widen the rims, and added the fat tires. They extended a few inches beyond the 430 head, but was ok.
