I haven't been on here for quite a while, and this will probably be my last post anyway.
Our family lost the most important member, (wife and mother) to congestive heart failure. She wished to pass away here at the house and that is exactly what she did.In my estimation, not only did we lose an extremely important human being, but the world did to.Thanks to my wonderful children,who carried out her last wishes ,in the best possible care that could be had. She passed away Aug 15th ,2016 at 6:37 pm. My last words to her was " I will be with you always,darling." and I feel that being 81 going on 82, it will not be very long.
Neuropathy not only has taken my legs,but also my hands,so I can no longer play the piano,or walk without assistance from my Son.Like I said,I am blessed with wonderful children.
To make life easier,we found a grain elevator,to aid in loading up wood to our truck,the truck which has a hydraulic dump bed for easier unloading. When I did the steel bed of the one ton, I had the foresight to make it pivot in the back,my daughter purchased the hyd pump assembly, and we did use galvanized fittings for the hookup.When I explained what we were doing I was advised by one of the members on YT, that i can't use galvanize, they were wrong, it has been working for the last 5-6 years.
Reading a lot on Adirondack Case Guys, post I was extremely interested in him using a conveyor to load the wood into the trailer, I thought it would be the berries and save our Bobcat from loading the truck. We looked around locally, one outfit wanted $975.00 for a disassembled unit another wanted $850.00 that has been setting for years on a consignment, a different farmer who had one, it wasn't used for at least 5 years, and was supposed to call us on a Thursday,because another guy was interested in it. I waited around all day Thursday, that came and went,so did Friday, Saturday ,Sunday, finally Monday he called. We ignored him like he did us,because in the meantime, on our way to Rice Lake, which was a different way we go, there sat in the field, a great looking elevator in the field with a for sale sign on it.My son stopped and got the phone number and called the owner, come to find out we knew the man. He was using it for unloading cob corn,but didn't need it any more. He sold it to us for $400.00 and greased the wheel bearings for us. Loaned us a hitch pin for it, which we repainted it and gave it back to him on the trip back to Rice Lake. Now all of this going on,my daughter is now suffering from extreme anxiety attacks along with Afib, which is terrible. A lot has been going on, and I even read once on here that I had been kicked off,which is not true. That is part of the reason for this post. I am always interested in Adirondack Case Guy and JD Marris, both are being helpful for two of our projects, for which I am grateful. In my estimation, this was what YT was supposed to provide to its members Well there you have it, I see that JD Marris hasn't posted for quite a while,and I do miss his posts, I so enjoy Adirondack Case Guys pictures and the kindness he shows YT patrons by sharing his information, my hat is off to both of these gentlemen.
