: Terry Currently everything I own has green oil filler caps. That's because I painted them green. John Deere's are supposed to be green (unless they're yellow). I've had mostly JD stuff, but then when I was growing up we had a JD dealership. I've also had blue/grey, red and orange machines. Internationals are super (pun intended) machines, too. Both companies produced dogs from time to time (gawd, I remember that 1010 diesel. How about the first 4620 turbo-diesels. Had dire warnings about using ether to start them, but some dang-fool engineer left the dashboard ether port in the design. Bright!). These days, though, I'd buy a JD if I were after a new machine. This is mainly due to the (admittedly costly) long-term parts availability that JD has. I also like the New Holland line, but I'm concerned these days about their longevity in the marketplace. Case/IH isn't what either used to be. Kubotas are overrated (and overpriced) for what you get.
