Werleys corner is another little town in our main township. It had a general store, post office, bar . The farm .store, and hotel/bar has been given to our town. The Historical society has it as it was many years ago, people from all over town have donated antiques, artifacts, etc. Every fall they have a fall festival to tour the whole place, games and activities for children, food by the auxilary members,,and a band playing country western music. third party imageAnd yes there were a few tractors on display too third party image third party image third party image third party image third party image third party image third party image third party image third party imageA shed full of old equiptment and tools too third party image third party image third party image third party image third party image third party image third party imagethe band was just getting set up,,,straw bales are for seats third party image third party image third party image third party imageIn the hotel, the historical society has a library and people there to answer questions. In our old barn the is a name of a pervious owner painted on the wall, then an addition was added,so the name is inside now,and has been for many.many years.I asked an historian about the name. She said we have a man here .a member, who has that last name. She walked around the festival with us till she spotted him. She introduced me to him.told him my question.Quess what he said? He said dont know about the history of your farm,,,but I know you! I looked at him puzzled....He said..you are Larry from Stines corner,,,and i am farmer near Lynville,,We have met and talked to each other on Y/T!!!! So I met another Y/t member yesterday, and what an honor it was ,he is a really nice guy!!!!
