Funny you say that!! When I was 8 or 9, I wanted to impress my Dad and have the yard mowed when he got home from work. The old Sears mower didn't hold but a couple of gallons, but it would almost cut the whole yard. (Note I said almost) I had ran out of gas, and couldn't find any, so I went down to the tanks where we stored fuel, diesel fuel. At that age, I knew we put that in the big tractors, and the Farmall MD we had, so it must be OK for a lawnmower. Put a gallon or so in it the mower, and it fired up, so I thought OK, I'm good to go. Well, I got it done, and put the lawnmower up. The next time I went to use it, it wouldn't start. Dad had to explain to me the differences between gas and diesel engines, and why it worked one day, and not the next in the mower, and he explained it to me so I could understand. Never made that mistake again!!
