It's your do it like you want. Farmall a is nice as gene stated in the fact that you can see what you are doing , I use a solid 1 1/4" bar crossed under mine to keep the side pull from the hillers to a minimum and use the larger 16" disc' s as they move more dirt per pass than smaller ones and normally run in 2-3 gear as the ground permits. However several people have been very successful useing 3point bars on massey' s , kubota' s ,etc. and recommend it highly , but you can't see what your doing till it's already done because looking back means you run over plants and make crooked rows.
