The pins look like regular drawbar pins (ca. 20 mm dia.) and when not in use they should be located in vertical holes in the balers framework on either side right in front of the tailgate and right below the pickup lift cylinders.
For relieving the belt tension open the tailgate all the way open, place said pins in horizontal holes on the side piece of the yoke (don’t know what else to call it) of the belt tension roll. With the pins sticking out the tension roll will be prevented from moving forward in the bale chamber when lowering the tail gate as the pins will press against the back edge of the bale chamber where it meets the tail gate.
