I'm a long time owner of heavy equipment and LAA is right on. Not sure how comfortable you are with auctions, but you'll get the same machine for thousands less and I'd say 90% of those dealers' inventory came from the same place. Dealers have the same stories as a used car salesman and are like diapers, usually fully loaded.
Even if you have to hire someone to inspect a piece, you'll come out ahead if you haven't been around dozers or loaders before. A broken or worn out piece of yellow equipment can get expensive quick. Usually when a piece goes to a farm, that's the place where it dies.
Iron Planet is a good place to look also as there are machines sold at auction there that are inspected and guaranteed to be what they say or you can send it back. I have bought 12 - 15 pieces of equipment and dozens of attachments/support items on there and never had any trouble.
I've probably bought more stuff at Richie Bros auctions, they have them across the globe. You need a seasoned eye with you.
Hope you get one, let us know how it works out. Send me pics, I'll give you my two cents before you pull the trigger if you want.
