FYI, My blue cans travel 1/4 mile to a gas station and 1/4 mile back home. I really don't care what color my can are and no one at the gas station seems to care either. Clearly marked in red flammable.
However, it is nice to know not to carry them on the interstate.
A better question should be, how to safely transport gas cans in the back of a truck? What would happen if you were carrying gas, got in an accident and cans go flying out of the truck. I really don't think the color would matter when they are burning?
I put my cans in the front of the truck's bed, so if I have to stop fast, they can't slide forward or spill over. Seriously, what would be a really safe way to transport gas in cans? geo
