Going to take 2007 GMC 6 cylinder ABS front brakes work truck in for service next Tuesday. Twice now the service brake light came on and in a few seconds goes out.
First time this happened, I wasn't moving, just started engine. Don't recall if I had even touched the brake peddle to put it in gear.
Second time about a week later I was in town and came down hard on the brakes, red light changed and it was a last minute decision to stop. The second time I heard bells go off and the service light come on. Brakes worked fine. Stopped me like nothing was wrong with brakes, thank God
Opinions, what caused the light to come on? Brake peddle solid, 85K miles. Brake fluid is full. No leaks around master cylinder or any other place. Never added brake fluid.
Be interesting to see what dealer thinks. What do you think? See who gets it right. I have no clue. geo.
