I'm driving my dads CTD now since he went to Assisted living. Its an 06 and only has 40,000 on it so you know its never been driven much. Matter of fact, I put most on it with a few trips. It was his last new major purchase and he barely got to drive it before he got bad. So I try to run it from time to time. In 40k I've put 3 fuel filters on it, so its had four counting the original. One year ago it bogged down on a short highway trip and the light came on. That time, I had just run it nearly empty and put about 10 gal in at a reputable station to finish the trip. I figured it picked up crud or water in the bottom of my tank. Got home changed out filter and cleared the code. Ran fine. Put it away for most of the year since then, maybe 3,000 miles since then. Took a highway trip sunday and she bogged down after about 300 miles. I did just put 15 gals in at home from CLEAN cans I had on hand and a shot of additive. Limped home with what I believe is a another plugged filter. I'm tempted to drop the tank and look inside and put in a new lift pump just to be sure. I see on the net that the lift pump is a small issue with the CTD. Could I be getting condensation? from sitting? Any CTD gurus out there?

You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o
