Hi Guys I know this is completely off topic but I could use some help (the company that supplied the door is closed for Easter vacation) and I would like to progress this door installation. Im currently building a new tractor shed and its got a 5 m roller door at one end, as you can see Ive managed to positioned the door on its support brackets along with chain etc. The instructions talk about rolling the door 1.5-2 turns to tension the spring mechanisim before cutting off the banding holding the rolled up door together all of which I can understand. My problem though is that the up and down rope gear mechanism just seems to turn on the axle as does the rolled up door so nothing seems to work as expected, Im thinking the gear mechanism should be fixed to the axle (the axle is clamped to the support brackets at each end). There is a hole drilled in the sleeve that the gear mechanisim is part of and Im wondering if there needs to be a hole drilled in the axle and a bolt or pin put through to lock the rise and fall gear mechanisim. If I hold the gear mechanism with a Mole Grip then the door turns as expected as soon as I tug on the chain. Any thoughts welcome. Bill
