There is a local consignment sale today. There are three tractors that are from local estates on the sale. The three are a little unusual.
1) JD 1020 GAS with a JD 37 loader. 2250 hours. Almost new rear tires. Single SVC. independent loader valve. Clean original, one owner tractor. Steering and three point real tight almost zero wear.
2) JD 3020 GAS narrow front , 5800 hours. It ahs the rockshaft but no three point links. The kids say it never did. Came from the same farm as the JD 1020.
3) Ford 5000 GAS row crop, wide front. 954 hours ONE owner. All it has done is pull a 7 foot finishing mower on five acres of building lots. Real sharp but gas.
So I am really wondering what these tractors will bring. Them being gas will really hurt there valve. I would not even buy the JD 30320 gas for the trouble they can have running on the newer formulated gas.
There is a nice VAC Case with an older restoration. It has a foot accelerator. Was that common??? If it goes like they have been selling I might just buy it. A IH "C" and a Case VAC are about the same size tractor but the IH "C" will sell for double the Case VAC. I have never even drove a Case VAC but never could understand why they sell for little to nothing around here.
