Two years ago, I replaced both seals on my GT75, which I believe uses the same rear end.

To replace the RH seal, you have to remove the whole axle housing from the LH side, which can't be done in place because the tractor frame is in the way. So you have to drop the transaxle at least partway out of the frame. (At least that's how it is on the GT75.)

Once you get the LH axle assembly out of the way, you can withdraw the differential, which gives access to the snap ring holding the axle shaft in place which is WAYYYY deep down in there... you'll need a LONG external ring tool (Parts Key #23.).

Once you get the *&^%**# ring removed the axle can be pulled out to the right, exposing the seal (Parts Key # 24) which can then be replaced.

The P.O. told me the seals had always leaked, since he bought it new, he had the NH dealer replace them a couple of years before he sold it to me and it was again an oily mess.

Once I got it apart I could see why. They used some REALLY cheap, crappy, and METRIC seals.

I had already ordered seals from NH, and decided not to use them based on the history of leaking and how chintzy they looked. (CNH part # for the seals is SBA050209830 @ about $16.)

I found some much heavier-duty seals from another source that fit and NO MORE LEAKS!

If you decide to do yours, let me know if you'd like the info for the "better" seals.

Or, if you decide to go back with NH seals I've got two new ones I'll GIVE you if you pay postage.
