I hope this picture isn't sideways. It seems like if I post them from my iPhone it messes them up. They look right to me but everyone says they are crooked.

I find these fascinating. I am such a nut about lineage. My farm has many things that have been here since new but they weren't my family - my farm was bought under contract from one of my best friends. We still work side by side after all of these years. Anyway, the 8430 with just over 10,000 hours, the 4020 with 24,000 hours (and a rebuild), many implements, and the 56 Chevy grain truck all came here new. Each time we stack the old blue truck with alfalfa I think of the story of them driving it home in a blizzard with no box on the back yet. That would have been fun. Hog on ice comes to mind.

I've mentioned this one but I attached a pic of the "invoice"/bill of sale for my IH 886 I bought last year. I got it from the original owner with 3100 hours on it. When I went to get it the guy's best friend was there. He just happened to be the owner of the IH dealer at the time the tractor was purchased new. He dug through his file cabinet and came up with the dealership paperwork to write up the bill of sale on. The tractor has never spent a night outside and came with all of the books that he got when it was new. It's been a great tractor for me. We farm with all Deere because of the relationship the original family had with the dealer. I enjoy all of the hours spent in those machines, but this 886 feels like an old friend. It reminds me so much of all of the red machinery we had when I was growing up.
