They pull this crap and yet run honest people out of business. Know of some people in Cali that had to get out of raising, showing and selling llamas because the IRS has disallowed the deductions for their farm expenses. They lost all appeals. These are not fly by nighters that didn't pay any taxes at all, but well respected folks that have been in the business for a long time and produce very high quality show and breeding stock. They just had an on-line auction where they sold off all their best stock (about 20 animals) and are just keeping a couple of older ones now as pets. Maybe that will keep the IRS happy for the 2016 tax year showing a big income from the farm business... the last income they will see for that operation. IRS: killing the economy one business at a time.
