Hi JD seller Totally agree with you, from what I read here with lots of those tractors from those ranges and what I see around used and from personal experience. I had an 1830 in for a customer got over 10.000 hrs on and it all fell apart with similar issues in the high low and a few other places. Bearings turned a wore housings in the 540/1000 pto as well, the $70 leaking seals turned into 0000'S of parts if the guy wanted to spend the money.
The farm i worked on had a 2950 it started playing up at 9000 hrs. I told the boss we wont be driving this pile by 10.000 hrs. At 9500 hrs he traded it on a 6410 I pity the guy that got the 2950, by 8500 hrs that 6410 had gone to it was a money pit as well. Maybe the dealer new the 2950 was junk and re paid the favor with a junk 6410, There a a few more 10.000 hour ridden hard put away damp 64 series round here like that starting to collect $15.000 work orders L.O.L.
