: Took an afternoon off work Friday and went on a stress-control/tractor hunting trip, riding around in the puckerbrush of Eastern Maine. Got to put a number of new entries in my Tractor Spotting Notebook and spotted one I have never heard of. It's a standard tread, four cylinder gas, and it says SCHRAMM in raised letters down the center of the grille. The paint that's on it is a sort of sky blue, and is either original, or a very good, but very old, re-paint. The steering box sits on top of the transmission and the shaft comes up at about a 45 degree angle. The seat hangs out behind the differential. It has full tinwork (what would be called "styled" on a JD or an IHC) and at a guess, I'd say 40's or 50's. I'm just curious, has anyone got any information on such a tractor? I took some pictures, and when I get them developed, I'll post them to my site, or email them to anyone who is interested.Paul, I worked for a construction company that had 2 of these. They are an air compressor tractor. We used to use them to jack hammer with. Go to tractor cafe and look under odds & ends, there is a couple posts dated 8/4/98 that might know more about them. I forget where they were made at. I haven't seen them since the early 80's. Good luck. RG
