We could not have restored our Farmall Regular without the internet... because so many junkyards have disappeared around here that without "the net", we'd never have found all the parts the ol' girl needed to run again.
I love communicating via email for work and family.
Shopping for cars over the internet is fantastic!! In our younger years, when we were looking for a different car/pickup, I spent a lot of time driving from town to town just to see what they had on their lots to test drive. Now it's great to "look" online and even call to set an appointment so you know a particular car will be available to test drive when you go there.
DIGITAL photography is the best ever! Waaaayyyyyyy better than the old rolls of film, shoot - then have to wait AND pay to get photos developed to even see what you got. THEN dump them in the computer and enjoy watching slide shows.
Skype is also a wonderful tool that would not be possible without computers. It allowed me to communicate with my Dad in his last days and to "see" each other before he passed away.
And my work would just stink if I had to do everything on a typewriter. Eeeewwww.
